Once you have a copy of your prescription, you are ready to order your glasses. Simply create an account by signing up and follow the steps below.
Obtain your prescription
Through Medicare, eye tests are available to all eligible cardholders every 2 years. Simply visit your local optometrist for an eye test and obtain your prescription. The optometrist must, by law, provide you with a clear, readable copy. Ask them to include your pupillary distance (PD) on your prescription*.
Alternatively, you may use a previous prescription as long as it is not more than 2 years old. It’s your choice where you buy your glasses, the optometrist shouldn’t imply that you need to buy from their store. *Pupillary Distance (PD): Your PD should be measured during the eye test and written on your prescription. Some optometrists omit this, so before your test, ask them to include it. Otherwise, shops where you have previously bought glasses will have used this measurement to make your previous glasses, so just call them and ask for it. The PD is the distance between your pupils.
Example prescription | SPH | CYL | Axis | ADD | | Right (OD) | +1.50 | -0.50 | 32 | +2.50 | | Left (OS) | +1.25 | -0.25 | 95 | +2.50 | | P.D | 64 | | | |
Please ensure that everything that is written on your prescription is relayed to us, either through the online form, fax, or over the phone. If you are unsure how to interpret the information or it is unclear – that’s why we’re here! Just call 1300 788 461 for assistance.
Choose your frame
We have a wide selection of high quality frames to choose from, including standard, semi-rimless, bendable, designer and rimless (just click one of the images on the left).
How to ensure your glasses will fit It's surprisingly easy. If the frame you choose has similar dimensions to your current glasses, it will have a similar fit. Simply compare the frame measurements we provide with those written on your glasses. How? Click what do the frame measurements mean for more information. If you need a minor adjustment (such as adjusting ear pieces), most optical shops will do this for you. Choose your lenses
Most customers require Single Vision lenses which can be made to correct either short-sightedness or long-sightedness. Bifocal lenses have 2 different strengths of lenses, the top part for distance viewing and the lower part for reading. Your optometrist will advise you if bifocals are required.
Lens options: All our prescription glasses come with a free anti-scratch coating. Options include an anti-reflective coating, UV protection, sunglasses tint, photochromic lenses (darken with sunlight) and polarised lenses. Simply select as required. Place your order
